Job Description Overview
This position involves executing assigned production tasks in accordance with procedures to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost standards. The role encompasses various responsibilities across different activities such as tank washing, pre-kit preparation, material coordination, fill-off operations, batch making, and milling/grinding operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate production assets safely and according to established procedures and industry best practices.
* Perform daily maintenance, data collection, and administrative tasks related to production processes.
* Report safety, quality, or process issues to supervisors and participate in investigations and continuous improvement activities.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage facilities.
Specific Activities
* Tank wash: Clean equipment and operate automated washers.
* Pre-kit: Manage raw materials, operate forklifts, and ensure proper storage and disposal.
* Fill Off: Transfer products into containers, label, and stage for shipment.
* Batch Making: Add raw materials, measure, coordinate testing, and ensure accuracy.
* Milling/Grinding: Operate machinery, set up equipment, and perform safety procedures.
Job Requirements
* High School Diploma; experience in paint manufacturing preferred.
* Ability to operate forklifts, measure accurately, and follow safety instructions.
* Physical ability to lift containers up to 75 lbs, work in various environments, and stand for long periods.
* Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and multitask.
