We are looking for an Associate Director to act as a technical lead on our projects and bring your ability to successfully deliver a wide range of exciting local authority projects in the UK. Liveable Places works with a wide range of local authority and private clients across the UK to help them achieve their placemaking ambitions, delivering schemes from concept to delivery in areas such as public realm, highway engineering, inclusive design, traffic engineering, road safety, traffic signals, pedestrian/traffic modelling, active travel, and parking.
The Liveable Places team is based in offices across the country with over 200 staff and plans for growth. This role provides a great opportunity to develop your career through exposure to a variety of experiences and to help steer the team’s growth going forward.
We have a strong track record working closely with clients and this role offers a pivotal position within Liveable Places.
Responsibilities
* Act as a technical lead on projects and contribute to successful delivery of a wide range of local authority projects in the UK.
* Collaborate with clients and colleagues to achieve placemaking ambitions across public realm, transport, and related disciplines.
* Contribute to project management and financial control, and mentor team members to develop talent.
* Engage effectively with stakeholders including public sector officials, the public, and senior colleagues.
* Lead and manage project teams and individuals to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
* A civil engineering degree or equivalent.
* Chartered membership of a relevant professional body.
* Proven ability to lead and manage project teams and individuals and to deliver projects successfully.
* Proven track record in project management and financial control.
* Passion for mentoring and developing talent.
* Experience in highway, transport, traffic signals and road safety engineering.
* Strong ability to engage with stakeholders including public sector officials, the public, and other senior colleagues.
