About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Children's Occupational Therapy Service in Cambridshire as a Band 4 Children's Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner. This is a permanent part-time post, working alongside Occupational Therapists (OT’s) at our base at The Peacock Centre, Cambridge, and in a variety of settings including local nurseries, schools and the child's home environment supporting (C&YP) individually and in groups to achieve their OT goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Support highly skilled Registered OT’s with assessments and reviewing the goals of the children and young people who are referred to the service.
* Work alongside the child/young person's parents/carers, school staff and other professionals such as Physiotherapists and Speech and language Therapists to ensure the best possible outcome and level of care is provided.
* Work independently to deliver care plans devised by the registered OT’s and be clinically responsible for a caseload delegated to you.
* Contribute to the recording of interventions undertaken using an electronic record keeping system (System one).
* Travel within the Cambridgeshire area to attend service meetings and training opportunities.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have experience working as a Children's Therapy assistant and be able to support typical caseloads of children with physical and developmental needs. Very good communication, organisation and time management skills are required to support provision of effective interventions.

Other Information
Due to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules, this role is unlikely to be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK may not be considered.
