About the role
dbt Labs is looking to grow our Legal team to help us meet growing business demands and continue to provide excellent contractual support to our sales teams with a particular focus on EMEA.
In this role, you can expect to:
* Draft and review contracts and lead negotiations on SaaS sales related agreements, including Terms of Service, DPAs, security addenda, SOWs, reseller agreements, and NDAs and assist with responding to client due diligence questionnaires and RFP responses (NOTE: the interview process will include a mock redline project)
* Collaborate with internal business clients and cross functional stakeholders, including Support, Professional Services, Security, Finance, People Team, and OrderOps
* Develop, optimize, and manage contract and workflow systems; create and maintain information in our internal legal portal
* When additional assistance is required, assist the procurement manager with negotiating vendor agreements worldwide
* Handle and advise the business on day to day contractual queries
* Work asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team
You are a good fit if you:
* 5+ years of experience negotiating B2B SaaS or Software Licensing contracts, with a focus on sell-side transactions
* The ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple demanding projects
* A team oriented approach, with a willingness to “jump in” and support other team members
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and collaborate well in a fast-paced environment
You'll have an edge if you have:
* Worked at a venture-backed or private equity-funded software startup
* Experience with implementing and maintaining a CLM system
* Fluency in German
