£65,000 - £75,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Were working with a Top 50 multidisciplinary consultancy, to appoint a Principal Engineer to join their expanding Rail team, with opportunities to support wider Infrastructure Engineering projects across Rail, Maritime and Asset Management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer looking to step into a highly visible technical leadership position.
Youll have the opportunity to:
✅ Act as Technical Lead across a diverse portfolio of rail infrastructure projects
✅ Lead project delivery from concept through to completion
✅ Build and develop key client relationships
✅ Mentor and support engineers and graduates
✅ Take ownership of project finances, programmes and resource planning
✅ Support business development, bids and work-winning activities
Projects include:
• Station Developments
• Bridge Design & Renewal Schemes
• AFA Schemes
• Rail Infrastructure Projects
• Multi-disciplinary Engineering Programmes
Were particularly keen to speak with engineers who can demonstrate:
• Extensive Civil or Structural Engineering experience within the Rail sector
• Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards and assurance processes
• Technical leadership and project management capabilities
• Client-facing experience and commercial awareness
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Chartered status (or working towards) would be advantageous
