Join Our Team as a Clerical Officer – Antenatal Clinic, BHRUT

Are you ready to be part of one of the UK’s largest and busiest women’s services? The Antenatal Clinic at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals (BHRUT) is seeking a proactive Clerical Officer to join our dynamic team.

This full-time role (37.5 hours/week) involves rotating between Queen’s Hospital, King George Hospital, and Fanshawe Health Centre, offering a unique opportunity to gain diverse administrative experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Key responsibilities:

Booking first and follow-up appointments in the Maternity Call Centre and Radiology Clinic

Efficiently managing patient referrals and monitoring waiting lists to meet Trust targets

Using Radiology Information System, Medway, and Careflow systems confidently

Delivering excellent patient service with a calm, prioritised approach

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for arranging all new and follow up appointments in a timely manner, ensuring they follow the care pathways set out within the department and assist with the effective day-to-day running of the clinic to allow the department to deliver streamlined and safer services whilst achieving key targets.

The role will be cross sectional covering joint services between Women’s and Child Health and Radiology Services. The generic responsibilities are consistent within each area but will involve understanding departmental booking systems.
