Crosby on Eden CEP School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and skilled Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Church School. The successful applicant will work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday (term time, plus 5 INSET days), in the mornings (8.45 am to 12.00 noon). The position is primarily in our EYFS class; however, the successful candidate may be required to work with our KS1 children at the Headteacher’s discretion.
TA: 16.25 hours per week at rate 5A
MDS: 5 hours per week at rate 3B
In addition, the successful candidates will be required to undertake daily Midday Supervision duties, in addition to their contracted hours, paid at 3B rate (1 hour per day, term time only). Further information will be given at the interview stage.
We are looking for a highly motivated EYFS Teaching Assistant who has:
• Experience of working in an Early Years Setting/Class
• Experience of working with children with a range of abilities/needs
• A genuine passion for working with children
• Initiative and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• A commitment to continued CPD
• At least an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in the relevant subject and have a grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.

This post is fixed term until the end of the school year, 2025, but will be reviewed in the summer term with a view to extension to the following academic year.
