Role Overview
Production Engineer will support Engineering activities in the development and testing of complex CT X-Ray Inspection Machines. This is a hands on role which involves input to and the construction of engineering prototype systems and /or the upgrade of existing test systems. The role involves a high degree of hands on mechanical assembly and prototyping.
Responsibilities
1. To provide input to the mechanical construction and design of prototype CT X-Ray inspection machines.
2. To lead the assembly of prototype CT test machines.
3. Execution of machine hardware modifications to assist the Engineering and Test functions with upgrading equipment under test.
4. To assist Engineering and Test functions with the execution of product testing.
5. Organisational help with the operational running of the product test environment including space planning, arranging / moving heavy equipments, test equipment storage, planning provision of key services such as power sources and communication lines.
Qualifications
6. Extensive experience (5years +) of shopfloor product assembly in a manufacturing organisation.
7. Self motivated individual capable of independent working in a mutil-disciplined team.
Knowledge, Training and Qualifications required:
8. BTEC, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Mechanics / Engineering.
9. Excellent practical skills in assembly & modification of mechanical systems.
10. Computer literate in key MS packages ( Excel / Word / Outlook / Teams).
11. Knowledge of high voltage systems an advantage.
12. Fork lift trained an advantage.
