Your new role
We are seeking a highly organised, approachable, and efficient School Administrator to support the smooth running of our school office in Barrown in Furness. This is a key role that requires excellentmunication skills, attention to detail, and amitment to maintaining a weing and professional school environment. You will work closely with the teachers and other support staff to ensure the smooth running of this front office.
This job in Barrow-in-Furness is a term-time only position working Monday–Friday – This job will be temporary on an ongoing basis – until Christmas in the first instance.
Arbor experience and a DBS on the update service would be an advantage for this role.
Duties may include:
1. Answering telephone calls and managing messages with courtesy and discretion.
2. Weing visitors to the school and ensuring they are signed in and out in accordance with safeguarding procedures.
3. Scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings with parents, carers, and external agencies.
4. Maintaining accurate pupil attendance and staff records using systems such as Microsoft Office, ParentPay, and Arbor.
5. Managing correspondence, including drafting and distributing letters and emails.
6. Adhering to school policies relating to health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection.
7. Supporting reprographics needs, including printing, copying, and preparing materials for staff and students.
