Job Description
* Business Partner Account and Operations Directors ensuring strong commercial and operational decision making, managing financial risks and opportunities.
* Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, customers and subcontractors.
* Work with the wider finance team to continually develop KPIs and ensure that end users are focusing on the right metrics to drive profitable growth.
* Preparation and review of annual budgets and reforecasting.
* Month end journals and accounts closure.
* Preparation and review of monthly management information including in depth variance analysis and underlying performance reporting.
* Prepare monthly business review pack and present at MD/Head of Finance monthly meeting.
* Balance sheet reviews and compliance with Group Accounting Manual, maintaining a full and up to date understanding of SAP and Nexus.
* Promote working capital improvements through timely, accurate contract billing and active management of debt ledgers.
* Calculate and manage the financial risks and opportunities across all contracts in the patch.
* Financial oversight for all contract amendments and service pricing, ensuring pricing strategy is applied consistently.
* Challenge and appraise investment decisions
* Delivering proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support business unit decision making
* Visibility on site to support operators as and when the business requires
* Line manage and develop a team
The Successful Applicant
* CIMA/ACCA/ACA with 3+ years of post-qualification experience
* Commercial experience gained in large contract management (FM experience is desirable but not essential)
* Preparation and review of budgeting and forecasting
* Advanced excel and modelling
* Clear evidence of Business Partnering with non-financial colleagues up to a senior level
* Be comfortable working with uncertainty and in a fast paced environment
* Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
* Well-developed critical thinking and problem solving with an ability to clearly present outcomes and influence stakeholders.
* Results orientated, with ability to take decisions when necessary and the resilience to be challenged.
* A team player but with the ability to work on own initiative.
* Line management experience.
