What You'll Take On

This isn't just an underwriting role, it's an opportunity to shape how we assess risk, serve brokers, and strengthen Rokstone's position in the market. As an Underwriter across our Commercial and Agricultural lines, you'll play a hands‑on role in evaluating risks, developing products, and delivering the kind of service that sets us apart. You'll own your portfolio, work closely with brokers, and help build products that are competitive, sustainable, and aligned with our underwriting strategy.
You'll collaborate daily with the market, support policy issuance, refine underwriting journeys, and contribute to the development of guides and rating tools. Along the way, you'll nurture broker relationships, provide direction to junior team members, and uphold the standards and controls that protect our business.

Lead underwriting of new and renewal business within your authority, ensuring alignment with strategy and risk appetite.
Support product evolution by reviewing competitiveness, shaping new propositions, and contributing to guides and rating models.
Build strong broker relationships through daily engagement, market visits, and exceptional service delivery.
Maintain accuracy and compliance across policy issuance, records, internal controls, and audit readiness.
Mentor junior colleagues, stay current through ongoing training, and champion improvements to systems and customer journeys.
