GOC-registered Dispensing Optician – North West | 37.5 Hours
We’re currently recruiting for a Dispensing Optician to join a busy, well-established practice in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a large, supportive team where development and ambition are genuinely encouraged.
Salary: £35,000 (DOE) + bonus (£2,000–£3,000 per year, sales-based, paid monthly)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Bolton
Experience: Must have previous optical experience

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Dispensing on the shop floor, including children and restricted categories
* Working in a fast‑paced, high‑footfall town‑centre practice (approx. 600 sight tests per week)
* Collaborating with a large, multidisciplinary team in a structured environment
* Supporting excellent patient care across a modern, multi‑room practice
Working Pattern & Practical Details:
* Weekend work required (Saturday or Sunday, rota managed by the managers)
* Shift patterns:
o 09:00–17:00 (30‑minute lunch)
o 10:30–18:00 (30‑minute lunch)
* High‑street location
* Multi‑storey car park 5 minutes away (£3 per day)
* Some free parking available nearby

* GOC‑registered Dispensing Optician
* Confident dispensing across all patient groups
* Comfortable working in a busy, town‑centre setting
* Positive, supportive, and team‑oriented approach
* Confident using tablets, laptops, and digital systems
