Reporting to the Head of Client Account Management, the Lead Relationship Manager is responsible for leading and ensuring that the business development function is working effectively to drive sales and revenue growth from the associated client business area.Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)Your roleYou will be expert in demand generation activities that are relevant to this Client Focused Area and will play a lead role in devising strategies to promote Capgemini in these forums with tangible business results. You will be part of the team who has accountability for improving Capgemini’s credibility within the Client Focused Area. You will both frame and drive business opportunities, leveraging the delivery teams. This will also involve the shaping and framing of propositions to meet client requirements working alongside the Delivery Team, Solution Architects and Proposal Development teams, responsible for sales closure of the deals following Capgemini processes and achieving the sales targets including revenues and profitability. You will work closely with our partners and help identify new partnership opportunities.Key for this role will be the ability to assimilate complex Capgemini business propositions and use them to guide client conversations. The fundamental skills of client need and issue discovery are clearly critical here, as is the ability to dynamically switch between issue discovery and proposition qualification. These skills are necessary not only at the early stages of a client relationship but as part of ongoing deal and account management. Your skills and experience • Able to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients with high levels of client intimacy and satisfaction.• Creativity and innovation, with gravitas to lead client and Board level meetings.• Able to operate with a high degree of independence as well as being part of a team. Recent experience working for a Large IT or Consulting organisation with responsibility for Business Development.• Understand the cross-cutting opportunities and make the “joins” to maximise their relevance to their client.• Support the creation of innovative offerings by providing client intelligence.• Work with the Head of Client Account Management and Lead Relationship Managers in achieving the business development targets.• Hold a network of contacts within relevant commercial organisations including software and hardware vendors, industry analysts and advisors besides prospective clients.• Excellent understanding of the Public Sector domain and key trends affecting the same.• Create winning value propositions that directly address client business needs while remaining commercially viable and profitable.• Provide input to the Opportunity Review Process / Sign On to qualify whether there is client demand to buy our solutions and provide a view of our of what good looks like.• Input to the Client Delivery Area’s Account strategy and plan, ensuring it aligns with the overarching Market Unit Account Strategy.• Develop and maintain partnership arrangements that are of relevance to the Client Customer Group and enhance Capgemini’s reputation with the client.• Provide key inputs into business cases, opportunities and proposals that relate to their Client Delivery Area/Client Focused Area.• Strong technical experience with hands-on IT Solution / Service Delivery experience during some stage in the career.• Industry experience (outside of IT / Consulting firms) – especially in Public Sector.Your security clearanceTo be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
