Multi-Trader Facilities Maintenance Technician (Commercial Properties)
?? Sutton (4 days) & East Dulwich (1 day) | ?? £16-£19 per hour | ?? 40 Hours/Week + Weekend/Evenings when needed
Oru Space (www.oruspace.co) is seeking a multi-skilled maintenance technician to help care for two vibrant mixed-use commercial properties in Sutton and East Dulwich. These locations combine coworking spaces, hospitality, wellness studios, and offices — making for a varied and rewarding maintenance role.
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day repairs, inspections, contractor coordination, and ensuring the safe, compliant, and smooth running of our spaces.
?? What You’ll Do
* Carry out general maintenance and multi-trade repairs: electrical, plumbing, painting, joinery, fixtures & fittings.
* Conduct routine inspections of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
* Respond quickly to emergency issues to reduce downtime and risk.
* Liaise with contractors for specialised installations and repairs.
* Communicate effectively with front-of-house and management to prioritise tasks.
* Track inventory and request tools, materials, or parts as needed.
?? What You’ll Bring
* Hands-on experience in building maintenance or multi-trade work in commercial environments.
* Confidence working across plumbing, electrics, general building repairs, depending on your skills and qualifications.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload across two sites.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Based in South London with flexibility to travel between East Dulwich and Sutton.
* Physically fit and comfortable lifting/moving equipment or materials.
?? Schedule
* Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (typically between 7am-5pm)
* 4 days in Sutton, 1 day in East Dulwich (may flex depending on needs)
* Some evenings or weekends may be required - time off in lieu or paid overtime available.
