What you'll do in this role
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and supporting business growth through innovative, forward-thinking strategies. This position emphasises an “automate-first” approach to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of new platforms and automation solutions, as well as optimising and maintaining both internal systems and customer-facing platforms.
Collaborating across departments, your primary objective will be to leverage technology to improve business processes, boost operational efficiency, and ensure the reliability of Cybit’s systems.
What are some of the key tasks a Systems Engineer is responsible for?
* Design, implement, and maintain scalable systems and platforms to support business growth and operational efficiency.
* Champion an "automate-first" mindset, identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and workflows.
* Build workflows that reduce administrative overhead for support and delivery teams.
* Ensure the stability, security, and performance of Cybit’s internal infrastructure and customer-leveraged platforms.
* Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise systems to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
* Manage and develop Cybit’s FinOps platform.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the business to identify technology solutions that improve processes and outcomes.
* Lead the deployment of new technologies and tools, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT best practices.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
* Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively recommend improvements.
* Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the customer experience, ensuring customers consistently recognise and appreciate the value of the service offering.
* Lead initiatives to streamline operations, driving cost reduction through process optimisation and automation.
We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
Essential:
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Powershell & Python
* Windows Server & Basic Networking administration
* Office 365/Intune administration
* Working with AWS/Azure Cost Reporting
* Experience and understanding of AWS & Azure (Preferably with AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner & Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals)
* Experience working across multiple teams where some are entirely non-technical
Desirable:
* Manging and maintaining IT Infrastructure monitoring software
* Identifying and implementing business-wide automation
* Experience with self-led projects, in terms of implementation, documentation and post-completion support
* Experience working with RESTful APIs, ideally to integrate multiple systems.
