Locum SACT Pharmacist (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy)
We are seeking an experienced Locum SACT Pharmacist to support oncology and haematology pharmacy services. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with proven SACT competency who can deliver safe, high-quality clinical screening and verification of systemic anti-cancer therapies while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary cancer team.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinically screen and verify SACT prescriptions in line with approved protocols
* Provide specialist pharmaceutical advice on oncology and haematology regimens and supportive therapies
* Support safe delivery of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments
* Work closely with medical, nursing, and aseptic teams to resolve prescribing and treatment queries
* Ensure compliance with SACT governance, safety, and regulatory standards
* Counsel patients on SACT medicines and supportive care where required
* Contribute to safe systems of work, incident reporting, and risk reduction
* Support protocol adherence and best practice across cancer services
Experience & Qualifications Required
* Registered Pharmacist with the relevant regulatory body
* Post-registration hospital pharmacy experience
* Proven experience in oncology and/or haematology pharmacy services
* Experience screening and clinically verifying SACT prescriptions
