We are looking to register new Shared Lives carer households in B&NES. Shared Lives is a service where the carer uses their own home, household members and daily life to provide support to people who have eligible needs.

Respite stays involve the client staying overnight, the carer would need to have a suitably equipped bedroom available for any respite stays they accommodate.
The scheme offers full training, the support of a dedicated coordinator and a detailed matching process with potential clients.
There are significant tax incentives available for Shared Lives households, £18,140 per household per year PLUS £450 per person supported per week (up to a maximum of 3 people) tax‑free.
There are several different options for providing support. This role can work around childcare, having another job or as an additional household income.
