About Us
Cormac Arboriculture Services provides a comprehensive, end-to-end tree management service across Cornwall. Our professional teams deliver expert tree surgery, extensive planting programmes, and ongoing stewardship of a wide variety of species across diverse landscapes—from country parks and towns to rural villages. No two days are the same for our dedicated teams of tree surgeons, removing windblown trees from Highways to restorative pruning to maintain tree health. We truly have the Environment at the heart of all we do and wherever practical use battery equipment, biofuels and ethanol free fossil fuels and modern equipment and machinery in our operations.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Tree Surgeon to take on a senior role, supervising Arboricultural Teams, working closely with the Arboriculture Area Manager within our Operations Team. This is a leadership position where you’ll guide, coach, and mentor others, sharing your experience while continuing your own professional development

What You’ll Do
1. Lead and supervise arborist teams across varied sites
2. Coordinate daily operations
3. Contribute to scheduling and programming of works
4. Ensure high standards of safety and quality, undertaking audits and team engagement
5. Communication with Highways, Utility Companies, Customers and Supply chain
6. Mentor junior staff and support their development
7. Contribute to tree planting, conservation, and habitat enhancement projects.

Preferred Qualifications
21. Advance Arborist Level trained (NPTC, City and Guilds)
22. Professional Tree Inspection Level
23. Arboricultural Association membership
24. ILM leadership training
