The role is for a Senior Field/Project Engineer, reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, to be based with the site construction team for the BP NZT/NEP project in Teesside. The project will deliver a new above ground CO2 gathering pipeline system and associated utilities for the Teesside industrial region. The engineering scope includes Pipelines HV Cable Crossings & AGIs. This role will be a critical interface between the design office in Manchester and the construction site with the following primary responsibilities. Focal point for engineering at site. Owner of the Site Technical Query (STQ) Procedure and Register Owner of Site Master Engineering Drawings to ensure all site mark-ups are being captured and compiled for home office as-building. Control and communication of Design Change revisions to AFC deliverables To ensure key project and programme risks are identified early, and mitigated where possible, with issues and blockers escalated immediately to the PEM. To ensure all services comply fully with Costain governance processes, standards and obtaining necessary approvals. As the primary engineering point of contact on-site you will need to be able to interpret P&IDs, Pipeline Alignment Diagrams, Pipeline Strip Charts, Isometrics, General Arrangement drawings and civil and structural drawings to ensure the construction teams are building to specification. Degree/HND in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Chartered Engineer desirable Appropriate CSCS or CCNSG Card Deep understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations and Pressure Equipment Directive (PED/PE(S)R). Experience in working within both a multi-discipline engineering design process and in a construction site environment. Significant experience of working in a high-hazard regulated industry e.g. Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Nuclear Process with thorough understanding of process safety management including management of change and a safety-first and right first time mindset. The role will be full time at the Site Project Office with an initial period spent part time with the design team in the clients Manchester Office
