Honey Legal is an innovative and fast-growing estate planning company offering a unique opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor to join our Legal Team in a non-fee-earning, technical review role.
This position is ideal for a solicitor who enjoys reviewing, refining, and ensuring the technical accuracy of estate planning work, rather than generating clients or managing a traditional caseload.
The Role
You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and compliance of our legal services by:
* Reviewing Wills, LPAs and Trust documents prepared by paralegals
* Approving and signing off files where appropriate
* Providing clear, constructive feedback and guidance where amendments are required
* Ensuring all documents meet legal, regulatory, and internal quality standards
* Supporting and mentoring paralegals to develop their technical knowledge and drafting skills
* Assisting with the continuous improvement of internal processes, precedents, and systems
This is a non-client-facing role, with no requirement to bring in work or manage billing targets.
About You
This role would suit a solicitor who:
* Has solid experience in Wills, LPAs and Trusts
* Enjoys technical detail, accuracy, and problem-solving
* Takes satisfaction in improving the quality of others’ work
* Has a methodical and analytical approach
* Is comfortable providing support, feedback, and guidance to junior team members
* May be looking to step away from fee-earning, business development, or high-pressure billing environments
* Has excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy
* Possesses strong written communication skills (particularly in providing feedback)
* Has a good working knowledge of private client law and practice
* Has an ability to prioritise and manage a volume of file reviews
* Has a professional, collaborative, and supportive approach
Supervisory experience is helpful but not essential - a willingness to mentor and support others is key.
