About the Role
Starn Group is seeking a hands-on and highly organised IT Administrator / Business Systems Coordinator to support the day-to-day IT operations across our global business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across hardware, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and user support - and who is eager to bring structure, documentation, and process improvement to a busy IT function.
You will be the operational backbone of the IT team, taking ownership of IT support, asset management, and documentation, while enabling the Group IT & Digital Strategy Manager to focus on AI, automation, business intelligence, and long-term digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Asset Management
* Provide 1st/2nd line IT support to users across the UK, Canada, and Qatar
* Manage laptop/desktop setup, imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting
* Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware assets (laptops, phones, printers, etc.)
* Support mobile phone and SIM management
* Assist with the configuration and maintenance of access control and clock-in systems
Microsoft 365 & Azure AD (Entra ID)
* Manage user setup and lifecycle within Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID
* Assign and manage software licenses and enforce compliance policies
* Monitor Intune compliance, update policies, and apply device configuration standards
* Support SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and OneDrive permissions and usage
* Assist in the standardisation of Teams/SharePoint structure across the business
Cybersecurity & Compliance Support
* Monitor alerts via Microsoft Defender and escalate as appropriate
* Assist in implementation and maintenance of conditional access and MFA policies
* Help maintain cybersecurity documentation and logs for Cyber Essentials compliance
* Support rollout of security policies and awareness initiatives
Documentation & Process Development
* Work with the Group IT Manager to create a full suite of in-house documentation:
* How-to guides
* Troubleshooting steps
* Onboarding checklists
* Process maps
* IT policy documentation
* Continuously improve the organisation and clarity of IT records
Phones, Printers, and Vendor Liaison
* Manage 8x8 phone system accounts, users, and call flow setup
* Coordinate with 3rd party network support for internet, switches, and firewall issues
* Support printer issues and liaise with Kellys for leased device service and supply
* Work with external vendors for IT procurement, maintenance, and escalations
Required Skills and Experience
* Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in an IT support or IT admin role — but we are open to recent college or university graduates with the right mindset and technical aptitude
* Hands-on experience with or knowledge of:
* Microsoft 365 Admin Center
* Intune device management
* Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
* Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Clear and confident communicator, able to support users across all levels
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and eager to learn
* Comfortable working across multiple sites (remotely) and liaising with external vendors
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience with 8x8 phone system administration
* Familiarity with Cyber Essentials controls and documentation
* Knowledge of asset management and procurement best practices
* Exposure to network troubleshooting or working with managed service providers
