Job Title: Management Accountant
About the Role:
A skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant working in a pivotal role in ensuring the effective financial management and strategic planning of the organisation. Reporting into the Financial Controller and working with senior management to provide financial insights, prepare management reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
2. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
3. Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators.
4. Cost Control including analysing cost drivers and recommend strategies for cost efficiency.
5. Implement and monitor budgetary controls.
6. Cash Flow Management including managing cash flow forecasts and report on financial liquidity.
7. Oversee credit control and debtor management.
8. Business Partnering including supporting Account Heads with financial guidance to inform decision-making.
9. Conduct financial modelling and scenario planning to aid strategic initiatives.
10. Compliance and Audit - ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and statutory regulations.
11. Assist with internal and external audits.
12. Systems and Processes - develop and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
13. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial records.
14. Line management of finance assistant(s).
15. Ad hoc tasks as and when necessary.
