About the Role
STILL Materials Handling Ltd is currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Derby area. The role is ideal for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers who have experience working as a forklift technician, plant fitter or plant technician. Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners will be valuable. You will work with a range of vehicles from small pallet trucks to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, diagnosing and rectifying faults and undertaking preventative maintenance on STILL forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose, repair and maintain forklift and material handling equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on a variety of vehicle types.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Keep accurate records and place orders using IT systems.

Qualifications
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Hydraulics
- NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
- Full UK driving licence and full Forklift Driver Licence
- IT literate – ability to use technology to keep accurate records and place orders
- Good communication skills to liaise with customers and internal colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive and can‑do attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of the role
