Health Care Assistant – Elderly Residential Care (Kidderminster)

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for a rewarding opportunity within a residential care home in Kidderminster. This role offers the chance to deliver person-centred care and support residents to live comfortably, safely, and with dignity.
🩺 Role Overview
As a Health Care Assistant, you will provide day-to-day support to elderly residents, including those living with dementia. You’ll work as part of a compassionate team to promote independence, comfort, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care and assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
* Support residents with meals, hydration, and medication prompts (where applicable).
* Encourage residents to engage in meaningful social and recreational activities.
* Monitor and record changes in residents’ health and well-being, reporting concerns promptly.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in line with care home standards.
* Build strong, respectful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant, Care Worker, or Support Worker within elderly or dementia care.
* A qualification in Health & Social Care (NVQ/QCF Level 2 or higher) preferred.
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
* Valid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
