The Role As an Art Technician, you will provide practical and technical support to ensure the smooth running of the Art Department. Responsibilities include: Preparing materials, tools, and resources for practical Art lessons across all key stages. Supporting teachers and students during lessons, offering guidance on safe and effective use of materials. Maintaining and organising Art equipment, supplies, and storage areas. Assisting with displays, exhibitions, and departmental projects, including installation of student work. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe handling of paints, chemicals, and equipment. Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed to maintain a fully resourced department. Supporting departmental events, workshops, and creative initiatives as required. Candidate Requirements Experience in a practical art or technician role, ideally within a school environment. Strong knowledge of Art materials, tools, and health and safety procedures. Organised, reliable, and proactive, with excellent attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.
