Senior Media & Communications Officer, HARRIS HILL
Harris Hill is seeking an experienced Senior Media and Communications Officer to join a membership/health organisation on a full‑time, 6‑month contract based on a hybrid schedule (2 days per week in London office, 3 days from home). The role will lead proactive media and communications to raise awareness of the organisation’s work.
* Develop creative and engaging written, visual and audio content for proactive media and communications activities.
* Identify media opportunities and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build positioning, expertise and credibility.
* Build and maintain a network of credible media contacts; coordinate meetings, briefings, and interviews.
* Draft accurate press releases and other written materials under tight deadlines.
Experience required:
* Journalist or public‑relations background in a press office.
* Strong understanding of media dynamics and how to make an impact.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of news story prioritisation, media distribution tools and social media platforms.
* Experience creating proactive media and communications strategies.
Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level.
