Social Worker - Child Protection Team (Nottingham City)
Make a vital difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Child Protection Team. This is a challenging yet rewarding role for a compassionate professional committed to safeguarding children.
About the Role:
1. Conduct thorough and timely investigations into allegations of child abuse and neglect.
2. Develop and implement effective child protection plans, working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies.
3. Engage with children and families, building rapport and trust to achieve positive outcomes.
4. Manage a complex caseload, prioritizing urgent cases and adhering to statutory timescales.
5. Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment committed to best practice.
6. Participate in regular supervision and contribute to service development.
Requirements:
* Registered with Social Care England.
* Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in child protection work is highly desirable.
* Excellent assessment, investigation, communication, and report-writing skills.
* Strong understanding of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
