Reporting To: Lead Systems Engineer
Location: Southampton Office
An Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Air Lubrication Control systems. You will be involved in activities to integrate electrical systems with control technologies and instrumentation to ensure safe and reliable operations. Marine standards experience and a strong history of cross-disciplinary collaboration are essential.
Experience / Qualifications Required:
* MEng Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, equivalent Applied Science degree, or equivalent work-based training.
* Significant relevant industry experience.
* Participation in Marine Industry and Industrial Plant Equipment projects, with practical experience across the product development lifecycle.
* Experience with network and communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, and NMEA.
* Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; effective time management.
* Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.).
* Basic experience with MATLAB/Simulink, object-oriented programming languages, and Python.
* Knowledge of marine classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR) and compliance assurance.
