Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming early years setting in Gateshead, working specifically within the 2–3s room.
Location: Gateshead
Position: Nursery Practitioner – 2–3 Room
Pay: Competitive hourly/daily rates (based on experience and qualifications)
About the Role:
* Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 2–3
* Help plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities following the EYFS
* Provide a warm, nurturing, and consistent presence for young children
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Work collaboratively with the room team, building strong relationships with children and families
* Ensure high standards of safeguarding, hygiene, and child wellbeing
Requirements:
* A recognised childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare)
* Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
* Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
* A patient, caring, and motivated approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
