Job Details This is a Lead Roadworker role within the Roads and Transportation Service carrying out road’s construction activities. The role of the post is to lead a team in the delivery of a wide range of road and footway construction activities, delivered to a high standard, on schedule and in accordance with specifications. Key tasks involve excavation, and construction works in the delivery of projects including but not limited to footway and carriageway improvement works. Operations include, laying bituminous material, kerbing, excavation, lighting and installation of street furniture. The Person You will be responsible for planning and organising day to day site activities including organising and scheduling resources such as plant and materials. You will also be expected to assist in the delivery of an emergency service including winter maintenance throughout the year. You will be required to comply with Health & Safety requirements You should be a good, motivational team player as well as being able to work with the minimum of supervision.
