Your Mission
As our Technical SEO Manager, you'll be our technical SEO operator, responsible for making sure Growth Shop's client sites are built to perform. From crawling and indexing to backlink profiles and site speed, your role is to surface technical opportunities, deliver actionable recommendations, and support content and CRO teams with SEO-first insights.
This is a non-client facing role:you'll produce audits, technical briefs, and roadmaps while the strategy and presentation stay with our internal team. You'll be hands-on in the tools, running diagnostics, and ensuring the execution side of SEO is airtight.
What You'll Do
* Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexing, site architecture, schema, site speed)
* Manage backlinking and off-page SEO initiatives, including outreach and monitoring
* Perform keyword research and clustering, delivering priority keyword groups to the Content Manager
* Identify and prioritize technical SEO fixes, preparing clear implementation briefs for developers
* Produce diagnostics, technical roadmaps, and structured reports for internal use
* Support CRO initiatives by highlighting technical blockers or SEO-driven opportunities that impact conversion
Who We're Looking For
You're a technical SEO specialist who knows how to dig deep into the mechanics of search. From crawlability and indexing to backlink profiles and Core Web Vitals, you're fluent in the systems that make or break organic performance.
You're not waiting for someone to hand you a checklist. You've already run technical audits, fixed feed and indexing issues, and built backlink strategies that move the needle. You thrive on solving problems with logic and precision; surfacing opportunities that others miss and translating complex issues into clear, actionable fixes.
You bring structure, speed, and accuracy, thriving in environments where quality execution directly drives growth.
Your Experience
* 3–5 years of hands-on technical SEO experience with a proven track record in audits, backlinking, and keyword research
* Skilled in common SEO toolsets: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, etc.
* Confident in diagnosing and prioritizing technical fixes, and able to translate findings into clear action steps for developers
* Strong with spreadsheets and reporting—comfortable clustering, pivoting, and creating actionable dashboards
* Detail-oriented and highly structured—you get things right the first time and communicate them clearly
* Bonus: Experience supporting CRO or growth marketing teams by identifying SEO/CRO overlaps
* Bonus: Familiarity with web performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse) and schema implementation
