Managing a team of software engineers, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous evolution and support of high-performing, scalable, and customer-centric trading websites.
Collaborating closely with software architects, QA, technical specialists, project managers, business stakeholders, digital experience and UX teams, you will align technology delivery with business objectives and provide robust postlaunch support.

About The Role
* Building, leading and motivating a high-performing e-commerce development team. Providing coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities.
* Providing delivery oversight by working collaboratively to estimate, plan, prioritise and oversee software development, ensuring timely delivery of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
* Leading the adoption of software engineering best practices and standards for secure software development and maintenance within Agile and sequential software process model frameworks.
* Collaborating with software architects, QA and technical specialists, project managers, business stakeholders, digital experience and UX teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into scalable technical solutions.
* Collaborating with software architects and business stakeholders to define and maintain the technical vision and roadmap for the E-commerce websites alongside digital experience managers and senior IT leadership.
* Overseeing the ongoing support of the e-commerce websites, ensuring system availability, performance, resilience and security.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading a team of software engineers to implement new E-commerce features meeting scalability, security, and performance quality attributes.
* Collaborating with analysts, project managers, digital experience owners, UX and business change teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Keeping up to date with emerging E-commerce technologies and industry trends.
* Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, introducing new technologies and processes in collaboration with other IT teams.
* Ensuring compliance with all applicable UK regulations such as UK-GDPR, UK Payment Services Regulations and PCI-DSS, Company Policies and FCA Conduct Rules.
About You
* 10+ years of experience in software development, building secure, high-traffic, high availability retailing websites with at least 3 years in an E-Commerce software development manager role.
* Experience of implementing E-commerce systems within a UK online multi-category retail market.
* A Proven track record of mentoring and developing software engineering teams.
* Extensive Agile and Sequential project management delivery model experience and of delivering complex digital projects within a legacy systems environment.
* A strong understanding of E-Commerce platforms, web technologies, APIs, custom web development and self-hosted architectures.
* Experience of implementing systems integration projects involving SaaS providers. (E.g., Adobe, Cybersource, Power Reviews, Medallia, Wunderkind).
