Key Responsibilities
1. Preparing and reconciling accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Preparing a range of tax returns for individuals and partnerships.
3. Assisting with compliance requirements, including Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax obligations.
4. Providing administrative support to the accounting team.
5. Supporting senior accountants with client work and ad hoc assignments.
6. Undertaking general office duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
7. An Accounting Technician qualification or be qualified through relevant practical experience.
8. A minimum of 2 years' experience working in an accounting environment, ideally within an accountancy practice.
9. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
10. Experience with, or familiarity with, payroll systems and accounting/tax software (advantageous but not essential).
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both clients and colleagues.
12. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
