We are looking for a shift Electrician at our Whitwell plant (nr Workshop). The role will work on a pattern of 4 x 12 hour day shifts, followed by 4 days of rest. This will include weekends and bank holidays. Core Qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) Apprenticeship-trained in electrical engineering (preferred) Technical Skills Electrical fault finding and diagnostics Motor controls and drives (VFDs, soft starters) PLC knowledge (Mitsubishi) SCADA knowledge (Wonderware) Reading and interpreting electrical schematics Preventive and reactive maintenance of electrical systems Installation and commissioning of electrical equipment Basic mechanical understanding Experience of working with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems Experience in hazardous area equipment (ATEX) Soft Skills & Attributes Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills (verbal and written) Attention to detail and safety awareness Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and on-call rota Time management and prioritisation under pressure
