Dental Nurse
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is offering four Dental Nurse roles across the Southampton and Basingstoke areas as part of our special care and paediatric service.

Main duties of the role
Participate in clinical and surgical procedures, providing chaperone and clinical support to Dental Officer and Dental Therapist. Ensure smooth running of clinics and provide cover in other areas of the service at short notice.
Provide advice on oral hygiene and peri‑operative care; and provide personal care associated with surgical procedures.
Operate specialist dental equipment as prescribed by Dental Officer and Dental Therapist and ensure all medical devices have had the routine daily/weekly/monthly checks documented before use.
Carry out routine daily, weekly and monthly checks to ensure emergency drugs and resuscitation equipment are in date and working, and complete all documentation.
Ensure the dental environment is kept clean and free of clutter, dental materials are in date, stocks replenished and medicines stored in accordance with Trust policy.

Qualifications:
* Current full registration as Dental Nurse with the General Dental Council
Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
Salary: £27,485 – £30,162 per year (pro rata for part‑time).
