Following recent strategic expansion, the firm forms a key pillar of a national accountancy group comprising over 1,000 talented individuals. Operating with the agility of an independent practice but backed by the formidable resources of a major national network, they offer unredacted exposure to the top tier of Owner-Managed Businesses (OMBs), AIM-listed entities, and corporate groups with turnovers scaling up to £500m.
Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse, high-quality corporate and mixed tax portfolio, acting as the primary advisory partner to clients ranging from substantial OMBs to AIM-listed entities with turnovers up to £500m.
* Work closely with general partners to lead, structure, and deliver highly complex mixed tax advisory projects, ensuring innovative and compliant client strategies.
* Act as a critical mentor and technical lead, training and delegating complex technical work to a high-performing junior tax team.
* Drive the preparation, structuring, and execution of complex transaction documents across company reorganisations, share schemes, property transfers, trusts, demergers, and corporate sales/acquisitions.
* Maintain regulatory integrity and risk mitigation across all compliance and advisory work streams, including drafting technical replies to intricate HMRC enquiries.
* Collaborate directly with the wider partner group to proactively identify new commercial opportunities, drive special project work across existing client bases, and assist in onboarding high-value new clients.
As a Tax Director / Partner you will:
* Be CTA qualified with an exceptional command of current UK tax legislation and a proven track record in tax advisory.
* Possess outstanding communication, client-relationship, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts confidently to high-calibre business owners.
* Demonstrate comprehensive experience in risk management, team development, appraisals, and structured technical delegation.
* Display strong IT literacy across core professional applications, advanced financial modelling tools, and specialist accounting packages.
