We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team, who is able to work on their own initiative and as part of the team.
The post holder will be responsible for leading the shift, administering medication, and supporting and guiding other care staff to meet the needs of residents. You will undertake a key working role within the service, so should have knowledge and experience of Support Planning, reviewing processes, and risk assessing in relation to older people.
The post holder will adopt a person-centred approach to deliver high standards of flexible and responsive care to service users within the care home, providing support to enable them to remain as independent as possible and promoting their abilities, independence, and skills.
Previous experience in a social care setting is essential. Ideally, you should hold an SVQ 3 in Social Care, or at least an SVQ 2 with a willingness to achieve an SVQ 3 within 5 years to enable registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner in a Care Home Service for Adults.
This is a permanent part-time post of 19.8 hours, worked on a three-week rota including day, back, and night shifts. Enhancements are available for evening, night, weekend, and public holiday work.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland cannot provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours starting 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This change will be applied pro-rata for part-time staff.
