Overview: As a Business Interruption Claims Solicitor, you will advocate for clients who have suffered financial losses due to business disruptions. Your main responsibilities include assessing, managing, and litigating claims to ensure clients receive fair compensation. You will work with clients, insurance companies, and stakeholders to navigate legal frameworks and negotiate settlements. The client is open to solicitors with litigation experience in Civil Litigation, PI, or Multi-Track work who are interested in retraining into business interruption law.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Consultation: Provide legal advice on business interruption claims, evaluate case merits, and develop strategies.
* Claim Management: Manage all aspects of claims, including documentation, evidence gathering, and communication.
* Litigation: Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings; prepare legal arguments.
* Legal Research: Keep updated on relevant laws and conduct research to support cases.
* Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external experts to strengthen cases.
* Client Communication: Keep clients informed and manage expectations.
* Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing parties.
* Documentation: Draft legal documents and review insurance policies for coverage and exclusions.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial litigation, insurance law, or related areas.
* Strong knowledge of business interruption insurance policies, contract law, and civil litigation procedures.
* Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure.
* Commitment to professional integrity and client advocacy.
