TEMPORARY – Registered Children’s Home Manager #12307656
We are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to join our team in Wigan. We are seeking a temporary manager in the meantime, which could become permanent if you enjoy the position. This role is ideal if you are currently between positions or want to try out the company and the placement before committing.
The temporary position will be ongoing until the recruitment drive is complete, with pay up to £40 an hour for the right candidate.

* Driving Licence: Required
* Qualifications: Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (preferred)

Key Duties
* Lead and manage a Solo Occupancy Children’s Home reliably and consistently
* Ensure adherence to the Statement of Purpose
* Aim for “Good” with a goal for “Outstanding” under Children’s Home Regulations and Ofsted standards
* Manage services including staff supervision, care planning, safeguarding, communication, report writing, and quality monitoring
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* Complete all reports within specified timescales
* Develop child-focused, personalized care plans
* Manage safeguarding, risk, and service governance
* Ensure children access all necessary services
* Supervise staff and support recruitment processes
* Coach and develop staff, supporting their ongoing professional development

Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children’s Residential or equivalent
* Demonstrated commitment to personal development
* At least 2 years’ recent experience working with children
* Management or supervisory experience
* Experience working with children, young people, and families in residential settings
* Knowledge of multiagency working and regulatory frameworks
