Assistant Centre Manager

Edinburgh Watersports CIC is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making watersports accessible to all. We deliver inclusive training, youth development programmes, and community events that empower people through adventure and learning.
The Role
As Assistant Centre Manager, you'll support the Centre Manager in the day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring smooth operations, high safety standards, and excellent customer service. You'll play a key role in staff coordination, programme delivery, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with planning and delivery of watersports sessions and community programmes
* Supervise and support instructors and volunteers
* Manage bookings, customer enquiries, and centre communications
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and safeguarding policies
* Help maintain equipment and facilities
* Contribute to outreach and engagement efforts, including Youth at the Helm and Young Instructor Pathways
* Manage the centre operations when Centre Manager is unavailable
What We're Looking For-
Essential
* Experience in watersports instruction or centre operations
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to lead by example
* Commitment to inclusion and community development
* RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor
* First Aid
Desirable
* RYA Windsurf/Wing/Powerboat/First Aid Instructor
* SCA Paddlesports Instructor
* SCA Sea Kayak Coach
* Proficient IT skills - Word, Excel, Teams
* Sports Coaching and Mentorship Qualifications
* Drivers Licence

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
