Your Role
We are seeking a passionate Health and Safety Co-Ordinator/Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role includes, but is not limited to:
1. Supporting the Head of Health and Safety in delivering services to internal customers.
2. Supporting the achievement of standards and accreditations such as ISO, CHAS, SafeContractor.
3. Conducting reviews of accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing trends, and ensuring closure of logged events.
4. Working with teams to develop Learning from Experience (LfE) for significant events and sharing insights across the Operating Unit.
5. Supporting incident investigations as needed.
6. Assisting in the creation of monthly SSHEQ team reports.
7. Supporting the development, review, and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidance documents, with an emphasis on streamlining and digitization.
8. Providing technical health and safety responses to queries and offering practical advice.
9. Identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives within the SSHEQ team and wider organization.
10. Supporting the development and utilization of IT systems within SSHEQ and across the Operating Unit.
11. Deputizing for the Head of Health and Safety as required.

About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
1. Experience in health and safety roles.
2. Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environment legislation.
3. Ability to meet deadlines effectively.
4. Strong collaborative skills for working with the SSHEQ team.
5. Comfort working independently.
6. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
7. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
8. Willingness to meet client security clearance requirements if necessary.
9. Willingness to travel across the UK on an ad-hoc basis.
10. Professionalism and ethical conduct.
Additional requirements include:
1. Previous health and safety experience.
2. Minimum NEBOSH certification.
3. Valid UK Driving Licence.
Membership in IOSH (Tech IOSH) is preferred.
