Transport Planner - based Stoke on Trent
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Salary: £30,237 per annum
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday + 4 Saturdays a Year
Shift times: 07:00 - 15:00, 10:00 - 18:00 and 1400 - 2200 (Rotating)
Location: Stoke On Trent - ST4 4EX
DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to play a vital role ensuring continuous improvement of planning processes within the transport department.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will
* Create routes and allocate vehicles, alongside Driver resources to meet planning deadlines.
* Maintain KPI's and SLA's.
* Liaise with Stores on a regular basis.
* Build Relationships through Customer Service.
* Customer contact point and communications.
* Ensure that work instructions and standard operating procedures are followed and check lists adhered to.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

* Transport planning experience desired.
* Transport experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics environment is essential.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Computer Literacy, including Excel.
* Experience using Paragon (Desirable).
* Good critical thinking skills.
* Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally.
