As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance function across a broad range of transactional and month end duties. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working in a varied position, is keen to learn, and wants to progress within a supportive and forward thinking environment.
Main duties:
Processing purchase invoices and ensuring accurate coding and posting
Managing supplier accounts and handling supplier queries
Assisting with sales ledger, including invoicing and cash allocation
Supporting bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Assisting with month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects
Ideal candidate:
Intial experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Good working knowledge of Excel
Proactive, organised, and able to manage your own workload
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Studying towards (or keen to start) AAT would be advantageous but not essential
