The Role
A Birmingham secondary school is seeking a confident and committed English Teacher to join from March 2026 on a long‑term basis.
You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, delivering purposeful lessons that strengthen analytical writing, reading comprehension and exam technique.
This is a full teaching role with responsibility for planning, marking and assessment. You’ll use data to track progress, implement targeted intervention and contribute to improving GCSE outcomes across mixed‑ability classes.
The Candidate
You must hold QTS and have secure subject knowledge across the English curriculum. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management, high expectations and the ability to engage learners at all attainment levels.
Experience preparing students for GCSE exams and familiarity with assessment objectives is essential.
