The AC Manager is a managerial role within Operations, reporting to the Area Manager. The AC Manager is responsible for the delivery of volume, quality, and service level performance targets of an assessment centre or a group of smaller centres. The role includes leadership and oversight of assessments, administrative activities, customer service, facilities, and health & safety.
1. Ensure that the volumes, quality, and applicable service levels are delivered to agreed target levels.
2. Deliver team objectives and performance against targets through robust performance management methods.
3. Facilitate communications to support delivery.
4. Monitor administrative workflows to ensure processes are in place for assessment delivery.
5. Work with the Area Manager to drive continuous improvement and share best practices with the team.
6. Investigate and resolve customer complaints; escalate serious complaints as required.
7. Communicate changes in assessment procedures and best practices (healthcare-based and administrative) to teams, with support from Team Performance Leaders and Clinical Standards Leads if needed.
8. Ensure Team Performance Leaders or Clinical Standards Leads have appropriate healthcare-related mentorship and coaching to support quality targets.
9. Ensure escalation of clinical questions and communication of resolutions by Team Performance Leaders or Clinical Standards Leads.
10. Support the continuous professional development of staff and promote shared learning.
11. Manage absences proactively to minimize disruptions.
12. Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
13. Clinical Assessment Centre Managers should maintain their clinical approval and carry out assessments and clinical duties as required.
14. Must be able to cover Dundee and Edinburgh occasionally; a driving licence is preferred.
Required experience includes leading and developing teams, delivering challenging performance targets. Clinical experience is helpful but not essential.
