Overview

Mitie Intelligence Services – Intelligence Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to join Mitie Intelligence Services (MIS) as part of the Intelligence Hub, in a new role within the rapidly evolving and growing team. This role will focus on supporting the security operations of a major leading motorsport company with a global footprint, delivering a portfolio of intelligence services to identify and assess risks to people, assets and events, working with internal and external stakeholders.

The Intelligence Hub provides an open-source intelligence (OSINT) capability to Mitie and to Mitie’s clients. The Hub identifies potential threats to client employees and business operations and delivers timely, actionable threat intelligence to inform and facilitate decision-making so identified threats can be mitigated. The Hub also provides major incident communications support and bespoke digital investigation services for security requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a security intelligence-related environment (e.g., law enforcement, military, government, or private sector). You will be a confident decision-maker with the ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment, with excellent judgement and written communication skills. You will inspire others with your passion to provide threat reporting to support client security decision-making and business resilience. A comprehensive understanding of global security issues and their associated risks to business is key. The role requires a minimum commitment of 12 weekends throughout the year to support global events during the race season.


Key Responsibilities

* Work with the senior client, account manager, Intelligence Hub, and other stakeholders to create and deliver intelligence products related to travel risk management and other security concerns.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with the customer, understand operational requirements, and promote effective intelligence-based risk mitigation strategies.
* Create high-quality, relevant, and concise intelligence reports and briefings covering threats to physical security and travellers (terrorism, crime, activism), including threats to people, assets, and events.
* Collaborate with the Intelligence Hub analyst team to identify, develop, monitor, and exploit OSINT sources to produce timely alerts aligned to client priorities.
* Deliver intelligence briefings for senior Mitie and client representatives, both strategically and during live incidents.
* Potential line management responsibilities in time; initially, act as a mentor and coach to junior employees.
* Minimum of 12 weekends worked across the year to cover major events, including late/night shifts due to time differences.
* Attend customer meetings to brief the strategic intelligence picture and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
* Present intelligence and structured reporting to client leadership and, if necessary, wider authorities.
* Complete ad-hoc projects as designated by management or client, on time and to a high standard.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and Company and Client quality standards.


Key Skills And Experience

* Degree-educated, or an equivalent qualification, in a relevant subject area.
* At least three years’ experience in a threat intelligence environment (military, government, law enforcement or security sectors).
* Strong relationship-building skills with customers and partners.
* Ability to formulate logical risk/threat assessments based on available information while understanding customer intelligence requirements.
* Experience in processing and analysing qualitative and quantitative data.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail; fluent in English.
* Reliable, flexible, and discreet; effective time management with the ability to pivot between time-critical requests.
* Knowledge of the geopolitical/global threat landscape and related security threats.
* Experience in interrogating and exploiting social media as a threat intelligence source.
* Desirable: knowledge of global events and security impacts; can-do attitude; problem-solving mindset; innovative in approach; language skills; Master’s degree in a relevant subject area; experience in intelligence collection planning and online monitoring tools.

* Senior client and other key customer security staff (including the customer global security operations centre).
* Intelligence Hub Development Manager, Intelligence Hub Operations Manager and Watchkeeper Team.
