Hays are working on behalf of a manufacturing business in Telford who are looking for a detail-oriented Temporary Stores and Logistics Administrator to join our team. This is a temporary role for at least 2 months.
Your new role
As a Stores/Logistics Administrator, your role will involve:
1. Confirming the correct items and quantities against purchase orders and supplier delivery notes.
2. Booking all items into stock using the Sage 200 Manufacturing system.
3. Locate goods in designated store locations.
4. Recording stock adjustments and movements in/out.
5. Assigning new stock and code locations.
6. Monitoring and managing stock replenishments and stock overflow.
7. Participate in quality audits related to the stores.
8. Liaise with suppliers to correct delivery errors.
9. Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy.
10. Coordinate imports, exports, and shipments via air, sea, and land freight.
11. Book deliveries onto various courier systems.
12. Generate and check shipping documentation, including packing lists, delivery notes, andmercial invoices.
13. Provide information to customs agents for export/import declarations.
14. Monitor and track shipments.
15. Update shipping status on thepany’s internal Information Management System.
What you'll need to succeed
16. Experience in stores management and logistics coordination is preferred.
17. Proficiency in using Sage 200 Manufacturing system.
18. Strong organisational andmunication skills.
19. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
20. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
21. Valid UK driving license.
