Senior Leadership Administrator – Wakefield – Full-Time

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: Pay to scale
Contract: Full time | Permanent

We’re recruiting an exceptional Senior Leadership Administrator to join the heart of a thriving school in Wakefield, supporting the Headteacher and senior leadership team (SLT) with high-level admin, planning, and coordination.

This is more than a standard school admin role — this is a chance to become the organisational engine behind strategic decisions, staff operations, and whole-school improvement.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:

Managing and preparing high-level documentation for governors, Ofsted inspections, and SLT meetings
Diary and schedule management for the Headteacher and SLT – coordinating meetings, training, and school events
Handling sensitive data with confidentiality — safeguarding, HR files, and student records
Supporting with school census returns, compliance, and data analysis
Acting as the first point of contact for stakeholders, governors, external agencies, and internal staff
Maintaining efficient office systems including staff CPD records, policy updates, and correspondence
Ensuring deadlines are met, meetings are documented, and communication is clear, professional and timely

You Will Need:

✔️ Strong experience in administration within a school setting or public sector organisation
✔️ Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise under pressure
✔️ Absolute discretion with confidential and sensitive information
✔️ Professional written and verbal communication skills
✔️ A calm, proactive, and solution-focused approach
✔️ A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SIMS, and Google Workspace tools

Desirable (but not essential):

Previous experience supporting a Headteacher, SLT or working in an Executive PA / Office Manager capacity
Familiarity with school data systems (e.g., SIMS, Bromcom, Arbor)
Understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding procedures, and education-specific compliance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
