RG Consultancy are working with a very well established Manufacturing business based in Crewe who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant within their SME to support the Finance Manager on a daily basis. You will be responsible for supporting the financial transactions, mainly Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger & Credit Control. 26 days holiday 8 bank holidays Christmas close down Free onsite parking Study support for AAT Bonus scheme Role responsibilities Process and accuracy record supplier invoices Match purchase orders and delivery notes with invoices Manage and maintain supplier accounts Prepare and process supplier statements Supplier statement reconciliations Bank reconciliations Assist the finance manager with month end, year end and audit preparations Prepare and produce sales invoices Manage the credit control process, outstanding debtor balance and deal with aged debt Chase overdue invoices via phone and email Manage and maintain new and existing customer/client accounts information Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure timely payments General finance admin duties as required by the finance manager Person specification Qualified to level 3 AAT or above would be an advantage for this role Proven background working in a finance assistant/accounts assistant or bookkeeping role is essential Strong telephone and communication skills Strong IT & systems skills, use of SAGE would be an advantage Experience with MS Excel Experience within the manufacturing sector would be desirable but not essential
