McDonaldu2019s Global Supply Chain (GSC) vision is to be u201cThe worldu2019s leading Supply Chain, connecting customers with food and experiences they love and trust.u201d GSC is responsible for $50 billion of food, beverage, distribution, logistics, packaging, & services spend. Duties
This position is a key member of the Global Strategic Sourcing Food - Proteins Team, that will develop and implement a u201cbest in classu201d protien sourcing strategy for Europe. This strategy will deliver a more resilient supply chain for our protein products across Europe by supporting our customer needs and expectations and creating the greatest value to our business. This position is London, UK based and is intended to deliver a competitive advantage to McDonaldu2019s.
This position is accountable to:
Design, develop and implement a European protein sourcing strategy across the value chain that delivers on the category vision to collaborate across all 3 legs of the stool to grow a more resilient protein supply chain that is safe and sustainable, delivers high quality and builds value while ensuring brand protection.
Manage global supplier relationships across the protein categories to drive enhanced resiliency and performance across contingency planning and testing, cost savings and digitalization.
Collaborate with the proteins sourcing team to build long term supply solutions that improve resiliency of the raw material supply chain, given its global nature and opportunities.
Lead and execute regional RFPu2019s and manage supplier pricing protocol agreements.
Lead transversal projects across the protein category and support Global Strategic Sourcing Food project teams as required.
Key Success Measures
Able to build resiliency into the supply chain, including strengthening and testing contingency plans for assured Supply; enhancing brand trust; and ensuring competitiveness of total cost to serve without impacting quality, food safety and social workplace accountability.
Able to build strong business relations with markets (including teams in DL markets), global suppliers, Global Protein team, Field Service and across the GSC functions
Lead Supplier Relationship Management and drive suppliers to self-managed excellence
Able to demonstrate continuous improvements across the protein supply chain
Able to bring creative and innovative ideas to life
Uses data to develop strong business insights and actionable solutions.
Understanding of sustainability and how to incorporate it into product sourcing strategies by making it commercially viable

Qualifications
Significant experience of Supply Chain (food experience a plus) and knowledge of global supply issues required.
BA/BS in supply chain management, economics, finance, management and/or agriculture or related field preferred.
Experience in developing product sourcing strategies is a must
Must have strong analytical, negotiation, organizational and leadership skills
Able to work with cross functional departments within the organization
Good problem-solving skills and corrective action/resolution skills
Strong verbal and written Communication skills required
Experience in working in a strong team environment
Strategic Partnering is a must
Must have the ability to function within a team-oriented environment and collaborate on multidisciplinary efforts across geographies
Understanding sustainability and how to incorporate it into product strategies is a plus.
Experience of working in u201cagileu201d environments is a plus
Able to travel internationally
